La Canada Unified School District is pleased to announce we will offer all students a school lunch at no charge in the coming 2021-22 school year. All students enrolled in the district are eligible to receive a healthy lunch at no charge. No further action is necessary.

This is a parent-only event.

Each year, districts across California complete an action plan related to goals and services that link with the budget. A committee made up of parents, staff, and students meet multiple times as well as engage in extensive outreach to connected groups across the district. Jerry Kang, professor of Asian American Studies, will survey the science of implicit biases with emphasis on real-world consequences in school systems. He will also discuss potential countermeasures. The learning objectives include greater awareness of implicit biases and how to counter them within individual and institutional contexts.
